To create this fake Facebook profile, you will use the link at the end of this post. When you click the link there will be some minor directions to help you get started. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CANNOT SAVE YOUR WORK on this online tool. To make sure you don't lose your work, open up a Google Doc and type your responses for the following items in the Google Doc before you copy and paste them into the online profile creator:
- Quote/Greeting (you can write a greeting in the voice of the character, or you can select a quote that you think the character would like)
- Song Now Playing (the song you select does not have to be from the 1920s; however, the song should be a song that that character would like, or a song that represents that character well)
- About Me (write this out in the voice of the character; basically, pretend that you are that character and write details you think that character would want to highlight in an about me)
- Latest Blog Entry (write a journal entry that outlines something that the character would like to share with his or her Facebook friends)
- Interests and Favorites (again, make sure you are writing this in the voice of the character)
When you click on the link below, make sure you click "Create a Profile" at the bottom right. Then, it will ask you if you want to create a profile for you or for a fictional character. Make sure you pick that you're creating for a fictional character. Again, I can't stress enough how important it is that you type these items out in a Google Doc first and then paste things into the categories on the profile. When you've got everything pasted into the profile for your first character, make sure you print the profile! Do the same thing for the second character. :-)
